Dr. Tee Ford-Ahmed is a renowned educator and member of the West Virginia State University faculty, where she has made a significant impact on students and the community. With a background in directing for the theater and a Master’s in interpersonal communication, Dr. Ford-Ahmed brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. Growing up as the only Black family in a coal mining holler in West Virginia, she navigated the challenges and complexities of her environment with resilience and determination. As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, she has dedicated her career to empowering students and promoting social change. Dr. Ford-Ahmed’s insights and experiences shed light on the diverse experiences of Black individuals in Appalachia, challenging stereotypes and fostering understanding.
