What We Do
Leadership Training
& Development
We are building a leadership pipeline for justice. BLAC’s programs equip you with tools to create trauma-informed campaigns and reclaim community power.
Petrochemical Lunch & Learns
Petrochemical companies continue to expand in Appalachia, polluting our air and water, harming our health, and threatening our way of life.
Understanding their impact is the first step—organizing to stop them is the next. Our training equips participants with the tools needed to mobilize community, build coalitions, and advocate for policies that protect our region. Join us to turn knowledge into power and power into action.
Organizing for Collective Power Training
BLAC’s Organizing for Collective Power training program provides participants with the tools to build trauma-informed grassroots campaigns that transform communities into hubs of advocacy, leadership, and healing.
Designed by and for organizers, this six-month program combines interactive workshops, mentorship, and hands-on strategies—covering power analysis, storytelling for change, campaign listening, negotiation, and movement fundraising.
Through flexible virtual sessions and guidance from experienced leaders at all scales of impact, participants gain the skills to protect your community’s resilience while influencing local and national policies. This program is not just about organizing—it’s about healing individually, collectively, and politically. Be a part of a movement that turns “sacrifice zones” into centers of power and transformation.
